Stars in our lives.

Yesterday, the brother of a dear friend passed away. It has been heartbreaking, to say the least, to see all the people that loved and cared about him so upset and so lost. However, amidst all this tragedy, there is a spirit of coming together from all of those who knew him. To see kindness and hope in this time of grief is truly an inspiration. I think the word of the week is perspective—the realization that perhaps all the small things you worried about aren’t as important as you once thought. It is moments like these, moments of tears and immeasurable sadness, that allow us to see all that we are blessed with in our lives. There is a well-known proverb that says:

When it is dark enough, you can see the stars.

Dear readers, I encourage you to pause and think of the stars in your life—your family and friends that make your world a better place to live in. Think of them, and then thank them for all that they have done. Chris Glaser was most certainly a star in the life of everyone he met, and he will be missed by every single person whose life he was ever a part of—even if it was for the briefest of moments.
